Dead by Daylight’s 2v8 mode and cross-progression are coming next week
Exciting news for Dead by Daylight fans! The highly anticipated 2v8 multiplayer mode is set to launch next week as a time-limited event. Players can enjoy the 2v8 mode from 25th July to 8th August.
What is 2v8, you ask? It’s a mode that doubles the player count in the game, with two killers teaming up to hunt down eight survivors.
This game mode has been eagerly awaited by the community, and Behaviour has worked hard to rebalance the gameplay for the increased player count. There’s a new super-sized map, along with gameplay adjustments like a class-like system instead of Perks and Cages instead of Hooks.
In addition to the 2v8 mode, cross-progression is also coming to Dead by Daylight on 22nd July! Players can share progression, inventory, paid currency, and DLC across all platforms, except for Nintendo Switch which does not share currency or DLC. Check out Behaviour’s FAQ for more information.
Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider franchise is the latest guest Survivor to enter The Fog, adding to the excitement of crossover events in the game.
Furthermore, Tome 20: Mythic has been announced, featuring new memories for Yui Kimura and The Spirit, a mysterious new Outfit for Lara Croft, and more unlockable content.
And last but not least, the long-awaited release date for the single-player horror game spin-off, The Casting of Frank Stone, has been confirmed for September.
