PC Building Simulator can be snagged for free on the EGS (until 14th)
If you have a passion for building custom PCs but find the current market conditions to be a hindrance, you can now enjoy this hobby virtually for free thanks to the latest giveaway on the Epic Games Store. This is a great deal considering the game/simulator is still being sold on Steam for £14.99.
The PC Building Simulator has evolved significantly since its launch in 2018, offering a wide range of modern components and accessories from top brands in your virtual PC workshop. In addition to the free-build sandbox mode where you can experiment with different components without any restrictions, there is also a career mode available. In career mode, you will run a business building, customizing, and repairing PCs for customers, taking into account factors such as hardware costs, labor, and profits.
The developers have even included features such as overclocking and benchmarking your virtual PC in 3DMark, as well as premium branded PC gear sets and a DLC where you work as a PC tech for an eSports team.
As mentioned in the headline, you can download the PC Building Simulator for free on the EGS. Be sure to grab it before the offer expires on October 14th.
Epic Games Achievements
In other news, Epic Games recently announced the introduction of an achievements system, which will start rolling out next week. Epic is making it easy for developers to implement this system in their games, allowing EGS gamers to earn XP through achievements.
Some of the first games to feature EGS Achievements include Rocket League, Hades, Pillars of Eternity, Kena, Zombie Army 4, Alan Wake Remastered, and more. Epic plans for widespread adoption of achievements in EGS games later this year.
Epic has also introduced a new Achievements detail page where players can track their progress and share their achievements. This feature will be helpful for monitoring achievement badges and unlocks.
