Former President Donald Trump praised President Joe Biden’s debate performance at a rally in Chesapeake, Virginia, calling Biden the “most incompetent president” in U.S. history. Trump’s comments came after Biden’s lackluster showing in the first debate raised concerns among Democrats about his reelection prospects.

Trump spoke to a crowd of supporters, criticizing Biden’s performance and questioning whether America can endure another term with him as president. He repeated false claims he made during the debate, including about late-term abortions, and called for the release of Capitol riot defendants.

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, who appeared with Trump, pledged to support a Trump victory in a state that Biden won in 2020. Youngkin emphasized the contrast between what he perceives as a weak America under Biden and a strong America under Trump.

Trump also addressed speculation about Biden dropping out of the race, dismissing the idea and criticizing other prominent Democrats. He expressed confidence in facing Biden’s running mate, Vice President Kamala Harris, in the election.

Despite calls for Biden to step aside, there is no indication that he plans to end his campaign. It would be challenging for Democrats to replace him without his consent.

Attendee Christopher James Caton praised Trump’s performance in the debate, noting his confidence and clarity compared to Biden. Caton acknowledged that even Democrats recognized Biden’s poor performance.
