3 Non-Negotiables on My Daily To-Do List

Being a creature of habit can be challenging when balancing work, family, and unexpected events. Flexibility is key to staying sane and getting things done, even for those who thrive on routine like myself.

While I struggle to go with the flow, I have identified three non-negotiables that help me stay on track, no matter what the day brings.

1. I wake up before everyone else.

Starting the day with some quiet time to myself helps me mentally prepare for the day ahead. It sets the tone for a productive day and allows me to focus on my priorities before the chaos of the day begins.

2. I make a shortlist.

Having a shortlist of top priorities for the day helps me stay focused and organized. It reminds me of what needs to be accomplished and gives me a sense of direction, especially when faced with a long list of tasks.

3. I exercise, or at least stretch my muscles.

Physical activity is important for my overall well-being, so I make it a priority to exercise regularly. Even a quick stretch in the morning can boost my energy and reduce stress, setting a positive tone for the day.
