The New York Times Games Coming to Delta Exclusives Hub

The New York Times made an appearance at CES 2023 in collaboration with Delta Air Lines to announce that their popular game lineup will be featured in the upcoming Delta Exclusives Hub. Passengers flying with Delta will soon have the opportunity to play games such as Wordle, Spelling Bee, and more during their flights using the airline’s complimentary Wi-Fi service.
Currently, Delta Air Lines offers free access to iMessage, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp to passengers. However, starting from February 1, Delta plans to provide free Wi-Fi on flights to Delta SkyMiles members, with a variety of content available through a new landing page called the Delta Exclusives Hub.
When the Delta Exclusives Hub launches in the spring of 2023, passengers on domestic U.S. flights will have access to games like Wordle, Spelling Bee, and The Crossword at no additional cost, regardless of whether they are subscribers to The New York Times or not.
This announcement comes following The New York Times’ acquisition of Wordle during its peak popularity as a social media sensation. Although Wordle may not be as trendy as it once was, it continues to attract a large player base and remains a key component of The New York Times Games. The integration of Wordle into The New York Times’ Crossword app in December 2022 indicates the publication’s commitment to expanding the accessibility of the game.
By featuring Wordle and other games in the Delta Exclusives Hub, The New York Times Games aims to reach a wider audience and ensure that players can enjoy the daily Wordle challenge even while traveling.
