Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his anticipation for productive discussions with world leaders at the G7 Summit on June 14th, aiming to tackle global challenges and promote international cooperation for a better tomorrow.
His remarks were made upon his arrival in Apulia, southern Italy, for the Outreach session of the G7 Summit.
This week, leaders of the G7 affluent nations convene in southern Italy amidst global and political unrest, with bolstering support for Ukraine taking precedence on the agenda.
The likes of U.S. President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida are set to join the Group of Seven leaders at the luxurious Borgo Egnazia resort in Puglia for the summit running from June 13th to 15th.
The timing of the Summit is crucial, with ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, along with impending elections for Mr. Biden, Mr. Macron, and Britain’s Rishi Sunak in the near future.
In light of global adversities, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as the host, has extended invitations to approximately a dozen non-G7 heads of government, ranging from Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan to PM Narendra Modi.
