MonsterLabo updates The Beast fanless PC tower case

MonsterLabo has recently released an updated version of their popular case, The Beast. In a previous article from March, bit-tech showcased The Beast equipped with an AMD Ryzen 3800X and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The system, which relies solely on passive cooling, maintained stable temperatures of 75°C for the CPU and 65°C for the GPU while running the demanding game at 1440p on an UW display.

The latest iteration of The Beast features an “updated design” that can accommodate a wider range of graphics cards and offers exclusive customization options through Indiegogo, as well as pre-built machines. The case still relies on The Heart (now The Heart2) for passive cooling, with a front section dedicated to the CPU and a back section for the GPU.

The specifications of The Heart2 remain the same, with 2 giant heatsinks, 20 heat pipes, and 6 copper thermal drains for efficient cooling. A notable improvement is the collaboration with EKWB on heatspreaders for memory and high TDP GPUs.

Optimum Tech tested the latest version of The Beast with an Intel i9-10900K and an RTX 3080, achieving stable temperatures under load by optimizing the system and using a SilverStone NightJar PSU for silent operation.

One of the new features of the Indiegogo campaign is the option for custom color finishes and logo engraving. The Beast is available for pre-order starting at €2,850, with options for pre-built systems or fanless optimization of your own components by MonsterLabo’s technicians.

Backers can expect to receive their chassis by Christmas or Easter, depending on the availability, with unique editions like ‘The Beast – Brass Edition’ shipping at a later date.
