Meta to start selling its Ray-Ban smart glasses in India from May 19

Meta announced that its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses will be released for sale in India on May 19, with prices starting at ₹29,990 (approximately $353).

These smart glasses are currently available for pre-order on the Ray-Ban website and will be available in Ray-Ban stores upon launch.

The Indian launch of the smart glasses will feature support for Meta AI, allowing users to ask questions, translate audio and video in real-time, send messages, make calls, and more.

While the smart glasses currently offer live translation for languages such as English, French, Italian, and Spanish offline, Indian language support has not been included yet.

Meta has also mentioned plans to integrate music streaming services like Spotify, Amazon Music, Shazam, and Apple Music for users in India.

Since their initial release in 2023, Meta has sold approximately 2 million pairs of these smart glasses.
