Alien: Rogue Incursion, originally released for virtual reality at the end of 2024, is now making its way to PS5 and PC with a non-VR Evolved Edition set to launch on 30th September 2025.

“FEAR HAS EVOLVED,” the trailer blurb boldly states. “Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition has been re-imagined for PS5 & PC in full HD at 60fps.”

Step into the shoes of ex-Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks in Alien: Rogue Incursion, as she embarks on a mission to uncover Weyland-Yutani experiments on the planet Purdan. Accompanied by a synth companion Davis 01, players must infiltrate the research facility and survive the encounters with the deadly xenomorphs.

Developer Survios teases that this is just the first part of a two-part story, hinting at a sequel with a thrilling cliffhanger ending. The release of the Evolved Edition on traditional screens aims to broaden the game’s reach and build anticipation for the continuation of the narrative.

While Alien: Rogue Incursion didn’t quite live up to expectations as the VR successor to Alien: Isolation, there is hope that the Evolved Edition will address the issues and deliver an enhanced experience. In a review of the game on PSVR 2, Tuffcub expressed disappointment, stating, “I really wanted Alien: Rogue Incursion to be good and it starts so well, but then things just fall apart. There are many bad design decisions in the game so that you feel like you are fighting them rather than the Xenomorphs.”

With the upcoming release of the Evolved Edition, there is optimism for improvements and enhancements to address previous criticisms.
