Haneda Girl is a furiously retro breach-and-clear murderbox starring one girl and her mecha

One of the most thrilling experiences in Haneda Girl is launching yourself out of your mech and slicing through enemies with a katana before summoning your mech back to eliminate more foes in a spray of purple gore. This combo system, as explained by local experts, is not only exhilarating but also helps in achieving score multipliers. Check out the trailer below to get a glimpse of the action. Beware of the techno vibes!

In this action-platform stealth game created by Studio Koba, you play as a young arcade enthusiast who gets transported into an arcade game to defend Data Empire from the menacing Hackernauts. Each level presents a 2D puzzle box where you can navigate in your M.O.T.H.E.R mecha or traverse on foot. While in the mecha, you have access to Gatling guns and shields but are too large to pass through certain obstacles. On foot, you can perform agile moves like wall-running and backstabbing, but you are more vulnerable to attacks.

Thankfully, Haneda Girl can switch between the mecha and herself effortlessly, allowing players to adapt to different situations. The game encourages a strategic approach by restoring shields when ejecting from the mecha and replenishing superdash attacks when summoning it. By utilizing both characters effectively, players can create a seamless blend of mech and pilot abilities to overcome challenges.

While drawing inspiration from popular games like Celeste, Bro Force, Katana Zero, and Hotline Miami, Haneda Girl also introduces unique gameplay mechanics. The demo is available on Steam, with the full game set to release on 23rd May. Experience the innovative gameplay and challenging levels in this upcoming title.

With promising level design and innovative mechanics, Haneda Girl is poised to offer a fresh and engaging gaming experience. Don’t miss out on trying the demo on Steam and mark your calendars for the full release on 23rd May.
