One of the key factors that always captures my interest in a game is the ability to drive around in a kei truck. While this feature is rare in games, titles like Promise Mascot Agency and the upcoming Honcho have successfully incorporated it. Now, Easy Delivery Co. joins the lineup with its unique take on kei truck adventures.

In Easy Delivery Co., players take on the role of a cat character reminiscent of Animal Crossing, driving a kei truck in a snowy mountainside town to make deliveries. The indie PS1 aesthetic of the game strikes a perfect balance between dreariness and goofiness, creating an intriguing atmosphere.

The game’s Steam page promises “definitely no secrets,” although I suspect there may be hidden surprises waiting to be discovered. With a soundtrack featuring lo-fi, drum ‘n’ bass, and jungle tracks, Easy Delivery Co. exudes a retro arcade racer vibe. Additionally, the game offers a four-player split-screen co-op racing mode, perfect for nostalgic gaming sessions on a CRT monitor.

Developer Sam C draws inspiration from games like Animal Crossing and The Long Dark, a unique combination that piques curiosity. While the release date for Easy Delivery Co. is yet to be announced, interested players can wishlist the game on Steam and try out its demo in the meantime.
