CMF Phone 2 Pro Two-tone Budget Phone With Extra Camera Teased

Nothing has offered a tantalising teaser for its next design-led affordable smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro.
As is the upstart British brand’s style, it has pre-empted the leakers by releasing a string of teasers ahead of the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s April 28 unveiling.
The company has posted a short video to social media, showcasing the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s design from all angles. It shows a close-up view of the distinctive camera, as well as the phone’s new two-tone finish.
In either orange or white, both colour options give you a slightly different tone and texture to the top and bottom halves of the phone. It’s looking quite striking.
CMF Phone 2 Pro Essential Key
In a separate post, Nothing shows off the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s Essential Key button on the right edge, as well as the related Essential Space software that will accompany it.
If you missed our Nothing Phone (3a) Pro review, this new hardware button serves as a shortcut to quickly capture voice notes, photos and screenshots, all of which are sent directly to the ‘Essential Space’ app to be AI-sorted and categorised for later reference.
Our Mobile Editor, Anyron Copeman, found it to be a promising feature, if a little unreliable in this early iteration. Hopefully Nothing has made some improvements in the intervening weeks.

CMF Phone 2 Pro specs
Nothing has also confirmed some of the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s key specifications.
It’ll run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G, which sounds similar to the Dimensity 7300 chip that powered the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G and the Motorola Edge 50 Neo.
More notable is the fact that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will pack a triple-camera setup – that’s main, ultra-wide, and telephoto. We’re not accustomed to seeing a dedicated telephoto camera in cheaper phones, though the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro was a noteworthy exception.
It’s looking like a worthy follow-up to the CMF Phone 1, which we called “the most stylish and interesting design to hit the budget market in years”.
