Malaysia Airlines to resume Brisbane flights in November, BA News, BA

Malaysia Airlines has announced a series of strategic developments to enhance its international network and elevate customer experience. A highlight of this expansion is the introduction of its new Manchester United co-branded aircraft livery on the flagship Airbus A330-300, featuring a design that merges the colors of the Malaysian flag with the iconic red of the English football club. The unveiling ceremony for the new livery was graced by Manchester United legends Dimitar Berbatov, Nemanja Vidić, and Luís Nani.
The airline has also confirmed the resumption of direct flights to Brisbane starting from November 29, 2025, restoring its connection to Queensland. This decision aims to meet the increasing travel demand between Australia and Asia, complementing Malaysia Airlines’ existing services to Sydney and Melbourne. Additionally, the carrier will deploy its new A330neo aircraft on selected routes to Australia and New Zealand, offering enhanced cabin comfort and fuel efficiency.
Aside from the Brisbane relaunch, Malaysia Airlines is expanding its services to other regional destinations such as Auckland, Surabaya, Phuket, and Trivandrum. The airline has introduced a new business class product featuring lie-flat seats on its Boeing 737-10 narrowbody jets, aiming to provide superior comfort on regional routes.
Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of Malaysia Aviation Group, described these developments as a significant leap forward in aligning the airline’s national identity with its global aspirations. Alongside these initiatives, Malaysia Airlines has also rolled out new payment features for EnrichMoney and updated its Economy fare tiers, demonstrating a broader focus on customer choice and loyalty benefits.
