Diablo 4's first big collab is Berserk? Yeah, ok, that one's pretty good I guess

Blizzard recently announced their plans for Diablo 4 in 2025, hinting at collaborations for the action game. While the specifics of these collaborations were not disclosed, the idea of more collabs in gaming made me sigh. However, the first collaboration revealed is with the iconic dark fantasy series Berserk, which got me intrigued.

Berserk is a significant influence on various popular franchises like Dark Souls, Final Fantasy, and others. The official Diablo Twitter teased this collaboration by showcasing a character in Guts’ armor swinging his iconic sword. It’s uncertain if this will be a cosmetic item or if it will affect gameplay in any way.

Personally, I have mixed feelings about collaborations in games, as they can sometimes feel forced. However, Blizzard has promised that these collaborations will align with the dark themes of Diablo, which is a positive sign.

The release date for this collaboration is not confirmed, but it is expected to arrive by July as part of the game’s upcoming eighth season, Belial’s Return. With the season starting on April 29th, fans have time to delve into the Berserk anime and manga before the collaboration goes live.
