Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault gets a summer release window, which is precise enough to get me excited

I was pleasantly surprised when Moonlighter was announced to be getting a sequel last year. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, as it’s known, doesn’t have a specific release date yet, but during today’s Triple-I showcase, it received a release window for this summer. It’s a bit vague, but at least we know it’s coming soon.

That’s not too far off, considering that summer is the next season in the Northern Hemisphere. It might be a different story if the developer, Digital Sun, was based in the Southern Hemisphere, but last I checked, Spain is in the North, so we’re good.

The new trailer showcased the game’s new 3D approach, a departure from the pixel art style of the original game. This trend seems to be popular these days, and it has been executed well so far.

Just like before, players will explore dungeons, battle enemies, and collect loot to sell in their shop for profit. You’ll also have the opportunity to invest in the local village to upgrade your weapons and equipment. Everything looks promising!

While an exact release date is still unknown, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will be launching this summer as an early access release.
