Goblin stealth gaming returns in Styx: Blades Of Greed, out in 2025 – here’s the first trailer

Cyanide and Nacon have recently announced the upcoming release of Styx: Blades Of Greed, the third installment in a trilogy of goblin stealth games known for their unique mechanics and witty storytelling. The previous games in the series, Styx: Master Of Shadows and Styx: Shards Of Darkness, have garnered attention for their puke-based mechanics and snarky protagonist.

While I personally never completed the previous Styx games, I have a certain admiration for the series. Players can explore these environments in a Metroidvania-style manner, unlocking new areas as they progress. Crafting weapons and potions will also play a significant role in preparing for each heist.

One of the highlights of the Styx series has always been its immersive setting, with detailed environments and a rich lore. However, some critics have pointed out issues with the protagonist’s internal monologue, which can detract from the overall experience.
