Tatum O’Neal shares reaction to late dad Ryan O’Neal cutting her out of will: ‘Keep it, motherf–ker’

Tatum O’Neal, daughter of the late Ryan O’Neal, shared her honest reaction to discovering that she had been omitted from her father’s will.
Initially devastated by the news, Tatum, who starred alongside her father in the 1973 film “Paper Moon,” has since shifted her perspective on the matter.
“Keep it, motherf–ker,” the 61-year-old Oscar winner told Variety regarding the will.
In her 2005 biography titled “A Paper Life,” Tatum had previously delved into the complexities of her relationship with her father, revealing instances of abuse while also expressing her enduring love for him.
Ryan O’Neal passed away at the age of 82 in December 2023 due to congestive heart failure. He had been battling chronic leukemia since 2001 and prostate cancer since 2012.
Tatum believes that her exclusion from her father’s will was a result of her candid book, stating, “The first book that I wrote was just a f–king honest book. And that’s what got him.”
Her son, Kevin McEnroe, shared that the will represents nothing more than “blood money.”
Despite the situation, Tatum expressed hope that her upcoming documentary about her life will bring financial benefits. Kevin emphasized the importance of his mother focusing on the future.
Kevin remarked, “I think the best revenge is your own success,” highlighting Tatum’s efforts to move past the influence her father had on her life.
Following Ryan’s passing, it was reported that he left behind a $30 million estate, including a $5 million Malibu beachfront home and an Andy Warhol portrait of his late partner Farrah Fawcett.
After being estranged from her father for about 20 years, Tatum reconciled with him following Fawcett’s death in 2009.
In 2011, Tatum and Ryan starred in a reality show titled “Ryan and Tatum: The O’Neals” on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network, showcasing their complicated dynamic.
In 2020, Tatum suffered a stroke after a drug overdose but managed to reconnect with her father on two occasions, including a visit to Malibu for his birthday in April 2023.
