The tragic news of Trachtenberg’s passing was first reported by The Post on Wednesday. The 39-year-old “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star was found in her luxury apartment in Manhattan’s Central Park South neighborhood by her mother around 8 a.m.

Trachtenberg’s representative Gary Mantoosh confirmed the news in a statement to The Post, saying, “It is with great sadness to confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away. The family requests privacy for their loss. There are no further details at this time.”

Trachtenberg, known for her role in “Gossip Girl,” had undergone a liver transplant in the past year. Sources suggest that her body may have rejected the transplant, leading to her passing of natural causes.

This story is still developing.
