Google’s new AI video model Veo 2 will cost 50 cents per second
Google has announced the pricing for Veo 2, their AI model for generating videos, which was introduced in December.
According to Google’s pricing page, using Veo 2 will cost 50 cents per second of video, totaling $30 per minute or $1,800 per hour. In comparison, the production budget for the movie “Avengers: Endgame” was reported to be $356 million, equating to around $32,000 per second.
It’s important to note that customers may not use every second of the Veo-generated video they pay for, and Veo 2 is currently focused on creating shorter clips, such as two minutes or more.
In a similar pricing model, OpenAI offers their Sora video generation model to subscribers of the ChatGPT Pro service for $200 a month.
