Spectre Divide coming to consoles this month

Independent developer Mountaintop Studios has announced Spectre Divide, their competitive 3v3 tactical FPS, is coming to consoles this month.

Spectre Divide is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 this month alongside the game’s first season, “Flashpoint,” though a release date wasn’t announced.

It’s worth noting the game receives updates on Tuesdays – there’s only one more Tuesday left in February so the new Season and the console ports will likely launch on February 25th.

Spectre Divide has been available for Windows PC (via Steam) since September of last year.

Spectre Divide is a competitive 3v3 tactical FPS that advances the genre forward with Duality, a mechanic that intuitively keeps players engaged in the small team format. While there are three players per team, every player will control a “Spectre”, a second body they can freely swap between in real-time. This deepens the tactical options available during a gunfight, allowing players to protect both points in the game’s take on classic Attacker/Defender bombsite defusal, quickly cover teammates by switching to the body nearest to them, and more. It also gives them an opportunity for redemption when one body is defeated.

Control two bodies in real-time, letting you defend two sites at once, cover your own cross, or even trade yourself. Duality is an entirely new vector for mastery, bringing a new dimension to tac shooter fundamentals.
