U.S. President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Fox News that Palestinians would not have the right of return to Gaza under his proposed redevelopment plan. Instead, he suggested that they would have a permanent place to live elsewhere, with the possibility of making a deal with Jordan and Egypt to accommodate the displaced Palestinians.
When asked about the right to return, Mr. Trump emphasized the construction of better housing for Palestinians, stating, “No, they wouldn’t because they’re going to have much better housing.” He explained the need to build a permanent place for them due to the current uninhabitable conditions in Gaza.
Regarding potential agreements with Jordan and Egypt, Mr. Trump expressed confidence in his ability to negotiate, mentioning the substantial financial support provided to these countries by the United States.
