Mercy main's rejoice with the return of Overwatch's Moth Meta

For those who are still hooked on Blizzard’s Overwatch 2, despite the temptation of Marvel Rivals, there’s exciting news! Blizzard has announced the return of the ‘Moth Meta’ to the game, as part of the Overwatch Classic event. If you’re a Mercy main, this news is especially thrilling for you, unless you’re on the opposing team facing her. The Moth Meta allowed Mercy to dominate the game with her resurrection ability, making it a nightmare for enemy teams. This game mode will be available until the 17th of February.

What is the Moth Meta? It was Mercy’s time to shine by breaking the game with her resurrection ability. Mercy players could instantly resurrect teammates, recharge the ability with her ultimate, and have two more shots at resurrection while the ultimate was active. Although this was challenging for enemy teams, it was a memorable experience. In addition, Overwatch Classic is experimenting with 6v6 gameplay with Min 1, Max 3 team compositions, allowing players to strategize with different Tanks, DPS, and Healers without overwhelming the team with one character. It’s uncertain if a permanent 6v6 mode will be introduced, but it’s an enjoyable experience regardless.

Other updates include the arrival of Doomfist as a DPS hero and Symmetra equipped with her Shield Generator, changing the dynamics of gameplay. Three classic maps – Oasis, Junkertown, and Eichenwalde – have also returned to rotation.

As Season 14 reaches its midpoint, players can look forward to the Mythic Lead Rose Ashe weapon skin and Valentine’s Day celebrations from the 4th to the 18th of February. Love of Geometry event will feature teams of four cupid Hanzos battling for love and supremacy, adding a romantic touch to the gameplay.
