Trump Administration Revokes Protections for Venezuelans in the U.S.

The Trump administration has terminated Temporary Protected Status (T.P.S.) for over 300,000 Venezuelans in the United States, potentially exposing them to deportation in the near future, as per government documents obtained by The New York Times.

This move, the first by President Trump to end such protections in his second term, indicates a continuation of his efforts to crack down on the program initiated during his first administration, where he attempted to terminate the status for migrants from countries like Sudan, El Salvador, and Haiti. Legal challenges prevented him from fully implementing these terminations.
