Focus and developer Saber Interactive have unveiled a new gameplay overview trailer for RoadCraft, their upcoming game set in the world of MudRunner focused on mechanized recovery efforts following natural disasters. RoadCraft is scheduled for release on May 20, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

RoadCraft continues the legacy of Expeditions, albeit without the MudRunner branding. The game features familiar gameplay mechanics such as the depth sensor for water traversal, but shifts the focus to disaster recovery. Players will tackle eight regions affected by various natural disasters like floods and sandstorms, working to assess damage, clear debris, and reconstruct essential infrastructure like roads and bridges. The game boasts a variety of construction vehicles including diggers, cranes, logging vehicles, and more. Physics interaction plays a crucial role, allowing players to manipulate objects, clear obstacles, and lay down materials for new roads.

RoadCraft offers both solo play and cooperative multiplayer for up to four players, enabling faster completion of tasks… as long as tea breaks are kept to a minimum!

Reflecting on the previous game in the series, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, Dom noted, “While Expeditions is undeniably enjoyable, it offers focused, intense, and challenging gameplay that may not appeal to those seeking a quick and easy experience. Success in Expeditions requires skills in planning, stealth, and puzzle-solving.” RoadCraft seems to follow a similar challenging gameplay style.
