Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves open beta taking place in February

SNK has announced that there will be an open beta for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves in February. The beta will run from February 20th at 12 AM PST to February 24th at 11:59 PM PST. Players participating in the beta will have the option to choose from eight characters and two control schemes. The beta will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Character details for the open beta have not been revealed yet. The beta will include an offline tutorial mode, as well as three online modes: Ranked Match, Room Match, and Casual Match. Players can choose between two control schemes: Arcade Style and Smart Style. The beta will also introduce the new REV system, which allows players to unleash powerful offensive moves by filling a REV meter.

The beta for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will not require a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Core/Ultimate subscription. Save data from the beta will not carry over to the retail release. The game is set to be released on April 24th, 2025, with a physical release on PS5 and PS4, as well as a digital release on all platforms. The first season pass will include additional characters, such as Street Fighter’s Ken and Chun Li.
