Mashina is a chill stop-motion adventure with friendly robots from the Judero Team

Talha and Jack Co have returned with a new crowdfunder for Mashina, a robo-stuffed adventure game following their release of Judero last September. In this game, players will “Dig, build, discover and mend in a chill, stop-motion world.” The development journey must have been intense, but the duo is back with another exciting project. Mashina focuses on “positive verbs” like ‘build’, ‘nurture’, ‘discover’, ‘mend’, and ‘bomb’. It combines traditional stop motion capture with digital techniques and features a Gamecube-era soundtrack with synth from Metroid Prime. The game promises “warm and crunchy digital baths” and offers a unique gaming experience. Listen to a sample of the music below.

Key features of Mashina on Steam include:

  • Dig to excavate rare minerals.
  • Build helpful machines to aid your excavations
  • Find robot pals, treasures, trinkets and more
  • Meet locals and get missions
  • Decorate your surroundings

The Kickstarter campaign for Mashina is close to reaching its £12,000 goal, with around 3 weeks left. Supporters can even pledge £500 to receive their own robot. While the robots are impressive, there are other ways to enjoy oneself, like treating oneself to chips, Ric Flair action figures, and paying utility bills. Nonetheless, the robots are a tempting offer.
