Nintendo Switch 2 continues to be uber-secret, with April launch claims and dummy models offering more evidence it looks like a Nintendo Switch 2

The Nintendo Switch 2 has been a hot topic lately, with accessories manufacturer Genki showcasing dummy models at CES 2025. Rumors suggest that an April launch could be in the cards, thanks to the efforts of those seeking more information on the console.

It seems like the stars have aligned for those eagerly awaiting the Switch 2, with Genki’s display at CES hinting at what’s to come.

A hands-on experience with one of the dummy models by French site Numerama revealed some interesting details. According to a Genki representative, the console is expected to launch in April based on the latest information.

While leaks about the Switch 2 have been circulating, Numerama’s report sheds light on Genki’s openness due to the absence of a formal contract with Nintendo.

The dummy models hint at an upgraded design for the Switch 2, featuring a larger size, magnetic joy-cons, an optical sensor, and additional buttons and ports. The report also mentions the availability of the console on the black market, raising concerns for Nintendo.

VG247 has reached out to Nintendo for further clarification on these developments.
