How Travis Kelce stays 'grounded' amid Taylor Swift romance

Travis Kelce is making an effort to remain grounded while navigating his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end opened up about his approach to staying true to himself in an interview with “Good Morning America” on Thursday.

“When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect of life that much easier,” he shared. “I’ve always been a very grounded guy.”

Kelce, 34, emphasized, “It might not come off like that when I’m playing football, but off the field, I just want to be a genuine person.”

The “Catching Kelce” alum sported a black-and-white bandanna-print ASOS Design shirt priced at $40 during the morning show interview.

Kelce didn’t delve into specifics about his relationship with Swift but instead expressed his excitement for his upcoming role in Ryan Murphy’s “Grotesquerie” series.

He also celebrated the success of his and his brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.

Travis remained tight-lipped about Swift in the latest episode of the podcast, skirting around his Big Slick skit with Jason Sudeikis over the weekend.

While praising the “Saturday Night Live” alum as a “legend,” Kelce didn’t mention Sudeikis’ joke about making Swift an “honest woman.”

Travis and Swift began their relationship last summer, publicly sharing their love story in September 2023.

Swift waited three months before discussing Travis, commending his football skills in her Time magazine cover story that December.

“I’m going to see him do what he loves, [and] we’re showing up for each other,” the Grammy winner mentioned. “We’re just proud of each other.”

In January, Page Six reported that the couple is planning for a summer engagement.

Travis and Jason, 36, have dropped hints about a proposal on their podcast, discussing lab-grown diamonds and referencing the movie “Wedding Singer.”

The three-time Super Bowl champion has received public encouragement to tie the knot from his teammate Harrison Butker and barber Patrick Regan.
