NYC pols demand anti-Israel CUNY professor be probed over protests

An Israel-hating CUNY professor accused of organizing a campus protest resulting in $3 million in damages

Adjunct political science professor Corinna Mullin is said to have been one of the leaders of the protest that led to the arrest of approximately 170 demonstrators, including Mullin, with incidents of violence and damages reported.

Vernikov and Yeger sent a letter to Chancellor Felix Matos Rodriguez demanding an investigation and appropriate consequences for any faculty or students involved in the protest that led to chaos and violence on the campus.

The protest resulted in a fire on the science building’s roof, clashes with public safety officers, and vandalism of campus property. Despite arrests made, there have been claims of lack of accountability for the actions of faculty and students involved in the protest.

Nancy Smith, attorney for Mullin, disputed claims against the professor and stated that the protests were peaceful and non-violent. CUNY has not responded to requests for comment regarding the incident.
