Vietjet expands fleet with 111th aircraft, plans for further growth, ET TravelWorld

Vietjet has welcomed its 111th aircraft, an advanced Airbus A321neo ACF, to its fleet at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The aircraft features innovative technology that significantly enhances efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and emissions by up to 20 per cent and noise levels by 50 per cent.

To accommodate increased demand during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, Vietjet plans to add three more aircraft to its fleet in December and wet-lease between six and ten additional planes. This expansion aims to enhance the airline’s capacity to serve domestic and international passengers.

The year 2024 has been a milestone for Vietjet, marked by significant growth in its global flight network. The airline’s upgraded fleet has bolstered its ability to connect Vietnam with more destinations worldwide, underlining its focus on safe, comfortable, and environmentally sustainable travel. Vietjet has also expanded its operations with a global network of 155 routes, comprising 43 domestic and 112 international destinations across Asia and Australia. This growth reflects the airline’s ongoing efforts to make air travel accessible while catering to a broad range of travellers.

Through continued fleet enhancements and operational growth, Vietjet is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of passengers and support Vietnam’s integration into the global travel market.
