Ballionaire, the physics roguelike in which you build pachinko boards, drops on December 10th
When it comes to releasing a video game, there’s no perfect time. But if I had to choose, I’d pick a time when the biggest blockbusters are out, everyone is broke from buying presents, and a major awards show is dominating the industry’s media attention.
It seems like Ballionaire agrees with my strategy. This pachinko-inspired roguelike is set to launch on December 10th.
While the term “pachinko-inspired” might bring certain games to mind, Ballionaire offers a unique twist. Instead of traditional combat, players focus on designing the pachinko board itself. By strategically placing pegs, players guide their ball through the board collecting cash. With obstacles like axes and teleporters, the goal is to prolong and multiply the physics-based journey.
Adding to the excitement is a roguelike element with multiple boards, upgrades, and a sandbox mode for experimentation. The game also features mod support, allowing players to create their own pegs.
Our colleague Brendy enjoyed the demo during Next Fest and is eagerly anticipating the full game release. Stay tuned for our review!
