3. Enjoy Sunrise or Sunset at Delicate Arch →

Delicate Arch is widely recognized as the most famous arch in the park and possibly in the world. The time of day you choose to visit can significantly impact your experience.

Sunset offers optimal lighting for viewing the arch but tends to be the busiest time. To avoid the crowds, we decided to venture out for a sunrise excursion.

The 3-mile hike in the dark can present challenges as there are areas where it’s easy to lose your way. However, we successfully reached the Arch before sunrise and had the opportunity to admire it peacefully with just two other individuals.

Even during peak hours, the iconic arch remains a must-see attraction. Nevertheless, the park boasts numerous remarkable rock formations, including arches, fins, balanced rocks, and more, away from the hustle and bustle.

Photography Tip: The best lighting for photography occurs just before the sun rises above the horizon. Subsequently, you’ll experience a mix of lighting on the arch from the towering rocks on its left side.
